Tub Fun / Easter 2008

Big Mama came over on Friday to hang out with us for a while. She helped give us a bath. Harris took his very first bath in the big boy tub. He loves to splash and eat the toys.

Later she read Dr. Seuss to us.

Harris liked the story too.

Since Chris and I were both off on Friday, we took Nick to see his very first movie. He has been asking to see "Horton Hears a Hoo". It wasn't the highest class theater, but we had a great time.

Here are the kids with the Easter Bunny.

Wearing their Easter shirts.

Lauren Wade and Harris hanging out in the back yard while Chris and Paul cook mountain pies over the fire.

On Saturday, Nana Jane came over and helped Nick with an Easter egg hunt. He found all the eggs... and the candy.

Nick Cotton Tail

He's thinking "What the h**l is on my head?"

On Easter Sunday, we all dressed up for church. We just couldn't get a smile out of Nick. He wanted to run up and down the pews after the service and did NOT want to say cheese for the camera.

Hanging with his little brother.

I'm the man! Cheesing with Lauren and Harris.

Me and Lisa with our babes.

Chillin' with the carved bear at Big Dan's house.

Harris was much more interested in eating the plastic eggs than hunting for them.

St. Patrick's Day / New Things / 6 Months Old

It's Harris's first St. Patrick's Day. Woo Hoo! He did not have any green beer, but he did try to eat his green bib.

Here we are at school.

Lisa and I with our green babies who were not at all interested in taking pictures.

Not the most intelligent looks on their faces, but aren't they cute!
Nick has been asking to come to my school for a while now, so on Tuesday afternoon, Nick visited South Newton for a couple hours. He had a fantastic time. My students were wonderful with him. He played on the slide and on the wooden car. He's asking when he can go back.

HARRIS IS SIX MONTHS OLD!
Here's how his day started, asleep, thumb in mouth.
On the changing table, thumb in mouth.

He's naked and awake.
Dressed, thumb in mouth.
Smiling for mommy.

Look at his fat rolls. I just want to pinch them.

I can't believe we've had our Harrison for six months now. I would never have guessed how much I could love this child. Chris and I are so fortunate to have two wonderful boys in our family.

Big Boy Bath / Playdate / 4 years

It's been a busy week. Harris had his first bath sitting up this past week. He did really well. I think in another few weeks we're going to move to our talking duck tub.

What a cutie in his monkey towel!

And doesn't he look like Nick at the same age? (Nick was one month older)

Nick! We were going to have our Easter pictures taken on Saturday, so of course Nick busted his lower lip on Tuesday.

It's official. Nick has a BIG BOY bed. And it's not just a twin mattress on the floor anymore. He's done great and hasn't rolled out once. He had his first spend the night party at his friend Zach's last week. Zach's mommy hasn't given me any pictures, but I'll post them as soon as I have them.

It isn't often that you share your birthday with someone you know, but Harris has a birthday buddy. His friend Annie was born less than two hours after him on September 19. We've been trying to get them together for months now. Finally they had their second playdate. They were only a few weeks old at their first one.

We're getting much better with our sippy cup.
Chris and I celebrated four fabulous years together on March 13.
Here we are on our honeymoon.
Dinner on Thursday night. Not too much change after 4 years and two kids.

Party, Turkey, and More

As Harris gets older, I'm starting to see more and more of Nick in him. I see the same facial expressions, and he'll do things that Nick use to do.
Here's one example - Foot OUT of bouncer
And how sweet - he played so hard he fell asleep in his exersaucer

At church on Wednesday, Nick and Zach were sitting still listening to the Praise Band

Harris is starting to use a sippy cup, but he doesn't like this one. He will spit it out look and me and laugh (woman, what are you thinking?)
Nick's friend Zach turned THREE on Saturday.
We had a great time at his birthday party!
Playing basketball
Riding trikes
Helping with the chairs

Waiting for pizza

Yea Zach. Your Cars cake was yummy!

This was Harrison's first birthday party. He had a great time hanging out.

Gentlemen, start your engines...
We can't wait till next year
