Outdoor Fun / Carrington's Baptism

We started out this week with a doctor's visit for all three kids. All were put on antibiotics, but Nick got the fun of going back to the doctor for pink eye later in the week. Doesn't he look lovely?
Harris turned 19 months old last weekend. His vocabulary is increasing daily, and he is becoming quite the character.
He loves to wear my shoes.

On Saturday, I had just finished putting all of Harris's winter clothes away. Chris and I were not watching the boys as closely as we should, so they pulled out EVERYTHING so they could play in the tub.

We had a great time playing outside on Saturday before it got too hot.

Miss Cara is full of smiles and starting to giggle these days.

Since Saturday was so hot, she had to put on her sunglasses and hat before venturing outdoors.

What a cutie pie!

April 26 was Cara's big day. She was baptized at First United Methodist surrounded by friends and family. I have to admit, she looked beautiful and was an angel. (Thanks to Uncle Paul for taking pictures).

Me and Lis with our girls.
We had fun hanging out with some of our favorite cousins...
Hannah, Lindsay, and Meredith
We are so lucky to have such wonderful friends and family to
celebrate with us the joys in our life.

Piercings

Not much going on in our house this week. I was on spring break and savored all the quiet time in my house with Chris at work and the children in daycare. I'm sad it's already over.

Cara is 10 weeks old (okay, I'm a week late with the update, she'll be 11 weeks tomorrow).
Nick loving on his baby sister

I've been wanting to get Cara's ears pierced since she was born, but I had to wait until she was old enough. However, I also wanted it done before her baptism next Sunday. Last week I went ahead and had them pierced. She looks so cute and did amazingly well.

Cara's really getting the hang of the bumbo and sits up pretty well. She also loves to stand up on my lap like a big girl.

All the kiddies on a Saturday morning.

New Friends, Not Sharing, Easter Pics

Cara's new best friend, Hannah Grace, was born on April 3, 2009. We went to visit the day she came home from the hospital. Hannah is SO TINY compared to Cara who is only 2 months older. It's so awesome that Amanda and I finally have our girls.

The new toy in our house this week was the Bumbo. Cara's starting to sit up better with help, so we pulled out the Bumbo to give it a try. Cara got the first turn.
Then Harris recognized it and took a turn.
Nick of course wanted to sit in it too.

Harris decided Nick should be finished and tried pushing him out. After some hitting and scratching, Chris put the Bumbo away since they couldn't share.

Cara's been all smiles lately.

Harris with his brother's golf club. He uses it like a baseball bat.

The boys in their Deere shirts. Nick look like he's been run over with a tractor. His allergies are killing him.

Cara is wearing the cutest Dachshund dress. I bought this when I was 3 months pregnant and praying the baby would be a girl. I also bought everything else with Dachshund print I could find. Chris says I have an obsession.

You can see the red Dachshund on the bottom in this picture. (Look at the cute pink shoes!)

Cara with brother Harris (wearing Dachshund pants which you can't see).

Here comes Harris Cottontail...

And little Miss Cara's first Easter. The kids Easter pictures are posted on the right side bar. They turned out so well.

Amanda and I with our girls all dressed up for church on Easter.

Changes... / Two month checkup

Lots of changes have been going on this week. I started back to work after 8 wonderful weeks at home with my beautiful daughter, and Cara started daycare with the boys.
Cara's First Day

She looked so tiny in her crib. I was so sad when I got to school at the thought of leaving her with all the big kids.

I finally dressed Cara in a dress on Sunday complete with her hairbow. She wasn't overly thrilled about it though.

Nick's love for his baby sister amazes us. She'll learn more from him (good and bad) than anyone. Here he is telling her about the animals.

He calls her his "pretty, pretty".

Cara Paige is 2 months old!!! I can't believe the time has flown by so quickly. She had her 2 month doctor's appointment. She weighs 11 lbs 7 oz (60%) and is 23 1/2 inches long (80%) now. WOW!
Her friend Hannah Grace was also born this week. Woo Hoo- http://www.themooseherd.blogspot.com/

Not much going on...

Harris turned 18 months old last Thursday. We had his check up that day too. He weighed 30 lbs and was 33 1/2 inches tall. He's my big boy. Harris has been trying to cut three molars for the past week, so when I tried to take his picture all I got was his fingers in his mouth.

Many of you know that Nick refuses to take naps anymore. He won't sleep at home or school. When he fell asleep in the car on the way home from his grandparents, we just left him there. I don't know how he could be comfortable.
My sleepy girl
Smelling my flowers

Cara still making her funny faces. I had the nurse weigh her when I took Harris - she was 11 pounds with her onesie on. WOW!!!

Nick's been having some trouble listening at school (imagine that out of a three year old), so Chris and I bribed him with his bouncer. We've had three good days in a row. Keep your fingers crossed.

Nick has done a few funny and sweet things lately. Last week I was putting on my socks and shoes and he says, "Mommy, you have shoes on, and do you know what else you have on?" I cautiously ask him what. "You have on a bra because you have big boobs!" I didn't really know how to respond to that one.
A few days later, we were trying on Cara's Easter dress, and Nick says, "Ooh Mommy, she looks like a little princess!" He absolutely adores his little sister. Those boys better watch out for him when she reaches dating age.

Harris attemping to slide down the bouncer slide.

He preferred the big boy slide.
