Guns, Barbies, & Rides

What a title huh!  My parents brought over Nick's early birthday present on Saturday.  Since he's been in scouts and learning how to use it correctly, he got a BB gun.  Big Dan carefully instructed Nick on all the rules that go along with owning one.   Not sure my mama heart is ready for this.

While Mom and Dad were there, Cara asked if they would buy her a Barbie.  Had to be one of the happiest days of my life.  My little girl wants a Barbie!!!  I've been collecting since 1988 and saved all my old Barbies from when I was little.  I even have all the 1980s fashion clothes.  We washed them all so we could play!
Later that day we took our favorite teenager Alyssa to Carowinds with us to ride some coasters and watch fireworks.  Cara finally reached 40 inches and could ride some of the big kid rides with Harris.  She rode her first coaster and LOVED IT!!!!  FUN!!!

Welcome to JULY!!!

July has started off with some hot weather.  To stay cool, we met my cousins at Price Park for a picnic, and we let the kids play in the creek.
For the 4th we had our annual Timmerman / Cadwallader / Donley celebration!

Chatham didn't want to ride anymore, so Harris went with Carrie & Devin!

I took my other two.

Cara likes her Uncle Dan now!  Don't ask what he bribed her with.
