Happy Thanksgiving 2010!

It's been entirely too long since I posted on the blog.  I'm not sure what happened.  We've done TONS of things like celebrating Halloween and going to Tweetsie one last time.  I guess I just never got all the pictures posted.  Hopefully, I'll do better thorough the holidays so you can see what my sweet children are doing.  Plus, Cara has too many cute Christmas outfits not to share.

Okay, this isn't really Thanksgiving, but isn't Cara cute as a bug in her Lady Bug outfit!
Yum!

It looked good on HARRIS two years ago on Thanksgiving.  Hasn't he changed?!

What Thanksgiving would be complete without TURKEY BOWS!
Harris enjoyed chatting with Mamaw.
Mamaw and Nana Jane with all the cousins.
We even got a smile from Nick.
Cara... not really in the mood for more pictures.
Every Thanksgiving I try to get a picture of our family, and I think back to Thanksgiving 2004.  Little did we know that I was pregant with Nick and our family was beginning to grow.

As the holidays approach, I realize how very lucky I am to have my friends and family.  We are so blessed!

SURPRISE!!!

A few weeks before my birthday, I started asking my friends if they wanted to get together for dinner to help me celebrate turning 36.  Everyone had plans.  My feelings were hurt, but what the hell.  If they didn't want to celebrate with me then whatever.  Chris went above and beyond to make it an awesome birthday though.  I got flowers at school and a new one cup coffee maker.  I did end up going out with Carrie, Devin and Toph to Olive Garden on my actual birthday which was delicious.  On Sunday, 4 days AFTER my actual birthday, we had plans to go with the Wades to my favorite restaurant - The Tap Room.  When we pulled in, I commented that I thought I recognized one of the cars but Chris blew me off.  When I walked in, there were all my best friends and my family.  I'm not surprised often, but I was surprised.  Apparently, they'd been planning it for weeks.  It was amazing.  All my favorite people were in one room to help me celebrate.

Cake #1 which was waiting for me when we arrived home from Olive Garden.  The kids also had presents and cards for me.
SURPRISE!!!  I really wish I had a clue cause I would have dressed a little nicer.
I love you Toph.  Thanks for the best birthday in a long time!

I think the boys' like wearing the hat!
So Carrie couldn't get normal candles.  She got sparkler candles which smoked up the entire restaurant.  We were afraid we were going to set off the smoke alarms.  They were the coolest ever.
Paul made the delicious book cake.  YUM!!!
The kids played with these balloon for days!!!
Thank you for lying to me and keeping secrets. It was totally worth it! Happy Birthday to ME!!!

Halloween 2010

I love Halloween.  I love dressing the kids up in Halloween shirts.  Here are a few.

 For Halloween, we had BATMAN.
 WOODY
 And a BUMBLEBEE!
There was NO posing for a picture.  This one was taken at a neighbor's house.
This one was taken at Carrie's parents house.  Isn't Chatham a cutie!
Cara made herself right at home and immediately took Chatham's new tractor.
After leaving there, we headed over to my brother's house.  Cara is checking out Uncle Dan awfully closely.  (I don't blame you Cara - he use to torment me when I was younger.)
Woody had to stay in shape by running on the treadmill.
He also had to bounce on the exercise ball.
 Cara wasn't quite as adventureous.
Woody lost his clothes, but he still has his badge!  Yee Haw!
Khaki stole Nick's boot and Cara's antenna.  Guess she wanted to dress up too.
When we got home, the kids crashed so Chris and I took all the good candy.  Happy Halloween!
