Double Birthday Bash!!!

Nick is such a funny kid. He insisted on taking a bubble bath in Mommy's big tub and that I bathe with him.
We had a double swimming birthday party for the boys on Saturday. Luckily, the weather was beautiful.
Happy Birthday Party to ME!!!!

And Harris too!!!
Aunt Shana
Me, Harris, Lisa & Lauren
Come on Zach, let's jump. Thankfully, both the boys have on their swimmies this time. Both decided to jump in without them earlier where they both had to be rescued by adults since forgetting they couldn't swim.
Noodle boys

Wow, check out those candles.
Okay, I'll put in one finger because it looks squishy.
Mmmmm...
I'm digging the Spider Man icing.

Big Dan & Big Mama
No one enjoyed the cupcakes more than Lauren.

Jayme, Los, and Annie (who'll be celebrating her first birthday with Harris on 9-19).

Nick's Uncle Dan asked him what he wanted for his birthday and Nick told him worms. So that's what Uncle Dan got for him.
I'm not sure he really enjoyed his present after all (check out that face!)

Dad, show me again how this marble tower works.

Harris has never really opened presents before. What a blast he had! Of course he would have been just as happy with paper.
I love my new camp chair. Thanks Lauren!

We ended out the weekend at the County Fair. Way to hot for a pregnant woman. I thought I would roast. Harris got to pet his first goat though.

And Nick has FINALLY gotten over his fear of people dressed as characters.

I can't believe my boys are three and almost one. The time has flown. We are beyond blessed with with such wonderful friends and family.

Nick's Mini Birthday Party

So excited to be three!

Harris, not as excited to be 11 months.

Nick got this really cool game called Whac a Mole - Harris would rather Whac a Mommy.
Happy Birthday to me!!!

I love my Nana & Pepaw
I still think it's interesting to compare the boys. Here's Nick at 10 months...
and Harris at 11 months. I think Harris is looking less like Nick and is becoming his own little person. We're definitely seeing a new attitude. He's been throwing some little tantrums lately. I'm sure we haven't seen anything yet.

So for those of you who have been wanting a belly picture, here I am at about 16 1/2 weeks. There isn't a whole lot to see. I'll post another picture at 20 weeks.

3 years / 11 months / 16 weeks

NICHOLAS IS THREE YEARS OLD!!!

Birth

Age 1

Age 2
Age 3

He's grown up so much!
We celebrated his birthday with Big Dan and Big Mama on Saturday. He loves to rock out in my car with Bon Jovi, so they got him his own guitar.

Of course Daddy had to try it too.

His favorite present was a trampoline. About a month ago, he got the chance to bounce on one at some friends' house. The next day, he called up Big Dan and Big Mama and told them he wanted one for his birthday. Of course they went out and bought him one (not that they spoil him or anything!). He drilled some things while it was being put together.

Then he jumped and jumped, and crashed, and jumped some more.

Thanks Big Dan and Big Mama!!!! (Mommy and Daddy appreciate it too - it's a guaranteed nap creator)

Harris will be 11 months old tomorrow. I can't believe it. He's sick now though with a nasty virus. Poor baby. I go back to work tomorrow, so my mom is spending the day with him. All summer long, both the kids are perfectly healthy, so I guess that's life...

Harris attended his first birthday party on Saturday for his friend Lauren who turned ONE!!! Happy Birthday Lauren!!!

He even wore the pink hat.

And he loved hanging out in Lauren's new birthday chair.

Cake was not his favorite. He would rather mash it into Aunt Lisa's floor than eat it.

I had my 16 week baby appointment today. Blood pressure was normal. The midwife had no problems at all finding the heart rate which was in the 150s. We go back in mid-September for our anatomy ultrasound, and if baby cooperates, we should find out the gender.
