New Faces & Climbing Feats

It's a miracle! I have pictures of all THREE children this week. Of course they aren't together in any of them, but I'm not picky.
Recently, Cara has been making all these hilarious faces. She cracks me up; she's such a ham.
Here she is again! What a face!
This is a picture of me at a year old. I guess we know who she got her faces from.

It was such an exciting day when Lis gave me this PINK John Deere sweatshirt. I've been waiting forever for Lauren to grow out of it. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Cara eating the doggy's squeaky cheeseburger. YUCK!

I DON'T WANT TO HAVE MY PICTURE TAKEN!!!
Getting better!
There's my sweet girl.
Mozart and Bach in the making.

What a sweet boy my Harris is. I love his smile in these picture.

Nick?

My little climber. Don't worry, I was watching her this time.

And not to be outdone by his little sister... Last week, Nick locked himself out of the playroom and wanted the key. Instead of asking someone for help, he decided to go ahead and get it himself.
Here are the stools.
Okay, I'm up now!

It absolutely scared me to death. Here's the video though.
Cara will be ONE next week, so I'll take lots of pictures of my girl in her last week as a "baby".

Not so much...

STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!!!
I'm so angry at myself. I had pictures to upload, but instead of rotating them, I deleted them. DUMB! Okay, now that I've had my temper tantrum...

Here's Cara's 11 month picture. She always does so well. These were taken at Kid Shots in Hickory. If you haven't been there, give them a try. They take wonderful pictures.
Cara's 1st birthday invitation. Big Dan took the picture and I ordered it from Tiny Prints. She'll be ONE in 2 weeks. I can't believe it. I'm got some decorations but need a few more ideas. Please let me know if you have any cute decoration suggestions for me!

Cara took part of her shirt off at dinner the other night. I'm not sure if she's mad she took it off or mad that she couldn't get the rest of it off.
Harris (wearing bows again) and Lauren. They're eating out of the same bowl.
Since I don't have any more pictures from this week, I'll share my top parenting moment. Yesterday, I was in the kitchen eating breakfast and working on the People Puzzler and "watching" Cara. I hear Chris from upstairs - "Hey Suz, you're with Cara right?" Apparently, my 11 month old had crawled all the way up our staircase while I was "watching" her. She wasn't hurt, and I get the
Bad Parent of the Day Award.

New Year's Eve & Christmas with the Grubers

As always, we spent New Year's Eve with our friends Paul, Lisa, & Lauren Wade. The night started out with some Mario Kart Racing.

Crawling through tunnels.

Check out these two. Don't they look innocent.
Let me feed you Lauren.
Ummm, not so innocent looking anymore are they?
What a bunch of dorks!

We celebrated Christmas with my cousins the Grubers/Chandlers the week after Christmas. Here are the boys with their cousin Casidy.

Andrea, DR, Me, my Chris, Meredith, and her Chris.

My mom!

Nick tried to get a lift from Goldi.

Uncle Dan is always tormenting Nick. He was not loving the chocolate smeared on his face.

Casidy's favorite thing about the entire day was Goldi. She wanted to take her back to Cary with her.

Uncle Dan also torments Harris, but Big Dan saved him.

Speaking of Harris... his new thing is pigtails. He is very specific about what he wants, and he insists on having bows too - like Cara.
Can you believe Cara Bear is 11 months old!!! Me neither!

She's still as sweet as can be, but we're starting to see some one-year-old traits popping up. First, she's starting pitching tantrums and squealing when she doesn't get her way. Second, she's becoming very attached to me and her blanket. She is pointing to what she wants and can follow some directions. Only a few more weeks till she'll be ONE!!!

We went to a birthday party on Saturday where Cara saw her favorite "boy" friend Chatham (getting a ride from his Daddy Devin).

Harris has had Strep, but he's feeling better.

Someone was full of herself that day.

She did get her first sucker and loved it.

Guess who's practicing for her birthday party?

I thought this was neat. Here's a picture of Cara at 2 days old coming home from the hospital in her car carrier.
Here she is today at 11 months 1 week old in her carrier. We had to put her in it to ride in Chris's truck. I think it's time for a big girl carseat in Daddy's car.
