Harris turns ONE!

Okay, so major picture update. SORRY!
We celebrated Harris's FIRST birthday while we were in Wrightsville Beach.
"Brother, you're one now. Let me tell you what happens..."
My little birthday man
HAT OFF
Yea, it's my birthday!

We helped him celebrate by visiting the Wilmington Train Museum

All aboard!
Come on, I'm driving

Wow, it's really high up here

This is a giant train set
Harris will just stick with one his size

We had ANOTHER celebration for Harris, Andrea, and my mom when we returned.
Say Click (cheese)

Umm, Andrea, shouldn't that go in your mouth?
Poor Harris, he loved his candle a little too much. He stuck his finger right in the fire.
Mommy, what happened?
That's okay, icing on the boo boo cat will make it all better.
Big Dan & Big Mama

We know who Harris looks like.
DR and Andrea had to try out the trampoline. Rumor has it that my brother was pretty sore the next day.
My mom turned 60 on Wednesday! Dad threw her a little family surprise party.

All my family. How lucky we are!

Fort Fisher Aquarium & Wrightsville Beach

I know, what am I doing working on the blog when I'm suppose to be on vacation. Chris and Nick have gone to play while Harris is taking a desperately needed nap, so... here I am updating our blog.
We are having an AWESOME time in Wrightsville Beach and Wilmington. Today we went to Fort Fisher Aquarium. The boys really enjoyed it (and Mommy and Daddy too)!
Nick discovered you could throw money in the fountain out front, so he kept begging us for pennies.
When we got there, we got to watch the divers in the giant shark & fish tank. It was really cool!

Nick was fascinated by the alligators and wanted to know if he could pet it.

I think we'll stick to the fake alligator statue.
There was a touch pool where the boys could touch a real crab. Nick was too scared, but not Harris. He kept stroking the legs of the crab with his fingers.
I thought this was the coolest thing; it's jelly fish glowing in the dark.

And of course, NEMO!
The boys enjoyed relaxing by the frog.
This was Harris's first time at the ocean. He really enjoyed the waves, but he didn't understand why he couldn't suck his thumb after playing in the sand.
My little surfer

Here's a video of the boys playing in the sand.

Okay Daddy, let's build a sand castle.
Harris was the happiest little boy (who will turn ONE tomorrow).
Um, Dad, what are you doing?
Help, I'm buried!
Okay, brother, let me show you how to do it.

Let's jump the waves.

Mom, this sand is squishy.
Woo Hoo. I love this.

The one picture of me since it is NOT bathing suit season for me right now. Sorry Cara, we'll show you at our next family vacation.
Mom, I'm coming to get you with my sandy hands.
We're celebrating Harris's first birthday tomorrow and having a mini-birthday party on Sunday, so I'll post pictures later.

The Best Week Ever

It was such a great week! We found out we were having a girl and had lots of fun with our kids. Next week we're leaving for our first family vacation - Wrightsville Beach. We're also celebrating Harris's FIRST birthday. I'll post lots of pictures when we get back.

Harris hanging out in his new chair like Nick's

Okay, brother, let's trade now.

We headed to Brooke's house Friday night for some food and friends. Brooke's brother Zach introduced Nick to Guitar Hero.
Mama Susan with Harris
Saturday, my mom came over and cooked breakfast for me. Nick loved helping in the kitchen. We went shopping at outlets in Gaffney. It was mainly to get Nick some winter clothes. I have to admit though as I saw all the cute girl clothes, I had to pick up a few things for Cara. After passing by them for the past three 1/2 years as I looked for things with dump trucks and tractors, it was so much fun buying clothes with butterflies and flowers in pinks, purples, and aquas.
Harris's first marshmellow. I'm still not sure if he liked it or not.

Here I am at 19 1/2 weeks. I'm showing a little more. Cara has been kicking a ton lately too. My dad's prediction is that this baby will weigh no more than 7 1/2 pounds. Really Dad, who are you kidding?
