Wrightsville Beach Day 4 - 9/25/10

We spent our final day in Wrightsville at guess where - actually it wasn't the beach but downtown Wilmington near the Cape Fear River.
Amazingly we got another picture of all of us.  That's 3 this trip.
Chris's friends the Morris's invited us out of their boat on Saturday afternoon.
Harris got to help Mr. Morris drive
The view from the water was beautiful.
 Jake and Shannon
Nick thought about napping in the cabin below deck.
 Relaxing after our ride.
Our day wouldn't be complete without one final trip to the ocean.
As you can tell, Nick found a large hole to play in.
Poor Cara, she doesn't understand why she has to leave her shirt on when the boys can take theirs off.
It was so windy on the beach that we had to head back up to the pool.  The kids didn't seem to mind though.
Nick certainly enjoyed practicing his swimming skills from the YMCA.
Not a clue what he's doing and a little scared to ask.
Again, Harris with one of his faces
Our gorgeous view!
It was sad to head home to all the rain and leave our 5 days of paradise.

Wrightsville Beach Day 3 - 9/24/10

No idea how to unhighlight the text.  So sorry!  If you know, please tell me.

Day 3 started the way Day 2 ended - at the beach. I guess it's a good thing the children enjoyed playing there so much since that's where we spend so much of our time.

I adore this picture of my three kiddos walking hand in hand to the ocean.
 Johnny Mercer's Pier
 Diggin'
 Up close and personal
Nick showing us his soccer moves
 Maybe a quarterback?
 Somebody loves his baby girl.
Getting ready to meet some of Chris's college friends for dinner.
 Sweet Davis
My boys watching the culinary expertise of the Japanese chef
 I'm thinking she liked it.
She wasn't being bad; she just chose to stand in a corner.
The whole gang - Chris & Amy with their precious little boy Davis and Phil & Heather.

Wrightsville Beach Day 2 - 9/23/10

On Thursday, we started out our day with a trip to one of our favorite places - Ft. Fisher Aquarium.  They have amazing animals to look at and the kids have always enjoyed it.  It was even better this time because Harris was so into every little thing and Cara would notice the animals too.
As always, Harris has his big cheese ready for me.
Dear Lord, my child's hair!
Just look at that sweet face!
The first animal we saw was the Alligator.  He was so close to the edge of the glass.  Kinda spooky!
Nick really enjoyed watching the divers swim with the fish and the sharks.  We had to tear him away to see other things.
Touching the animals.
 Sea Horse
 Jelly Fish
 A very freaky looking Octopus
Nick insisted on climbing up on the frog.
Our family of five.
After a brief nap, the kids insisted we go back and play on the beach.  They really enjoyed playing in the sand - Cara especially.
 Chillaxin
 Jumping the waves
 Jump Daddy, jump!
What a face!  Guess she wasn't happy she fell down.
 Making sand pies.
 LOVE-THIS-FACE!
Who would have thought Cara would enjoy being buried in the sand?
Can I just tell you how gross all this sand is!

Little Miss was NOT happy about leaving the pool.
My boys at Macaroni Grille.
Day 2 was a success!
