Halloween Fun 2007

Halloween with a 2 year old is EXHAUSTING!!! For me, not for him.

Here's Harris the day before Halloween dressed up in his orange. He's such a sweet boy.

Nick and Zach had a party at school to celebrate this candy-filled holiday. Zach did much better at not wearing his food.

Harris dressed as a lobster for his first Halloween. Thanks Aunt Amanda for picking out my costume.

Here's Nick as Scooby Doo.

The Moose's came over to show off their little cowboy (bang, bang). Go Zach!

They were much more interested in running around than trick or treating. I'm just tired imaging ANOTHER boy running around with them next year.

Harris's friend Lauren dressed like a cow.

Nick wasn't too sure about holding TWO babies.

Till next year....

5 weeks old / Modeling How It's Done

What a fun week. Harris has been awake more and more during the day, so I can spend time getting to know him better before I have to go back to work. The other day I was in the kitchen doing something; when I looked up he'd fallen over. Not one of my better parenting moments.

Later though I gave him a pacifier and his bear - it's all a baby needs.

Nick has become quite the character (more than normal). He wants to "show" Harris how all his toys work. I don't think he's figured out that he's a little too big.

Nick showing how to sit in a car seat.

Attempting to carry him. I don't think these things were made for a 31 pounder.

Okay, Harris, it's your turn

"See brother, I knew you could do it!"

Here are my two precious boys before church. I can't believe how lucky we are!

1 month / Bowling / Golfing

Here are my two little men. I really wish Nick would stop with the growling grin though.

On Tuesday, Harris took his first trip out of town when mom and I took him shopping in S.C.

Harris turned 4 weeks old on Wednesday. I can't believe how big he's getting. It won't be long till he isn't a baby anymore. Chris and I have been trying to give him some tummy time to strengthen his neck, but all he wants to do is fall asleep.

Luckily, we have Nick to show him how it's done.

To celebrate Zach's good medical news, we took the boys bowling. This time I brought my camera.

Zach just loves Baby Harris!

Here's our first family photo since Harris was born.
Nick has become obsessed with golf, so Chris bought him his first set of clubs. Thank goodness for plastic. He isn't very good. We're going to have to get Uncle Dan to teach him how to play.

Buffalo Tongues / Tweetsie (one last trip)

We had a wonderful week. Nick seems to be doing much better with having a baby brother. We really thought he was coping well, but this week the tantrums seem to be decreasing and he's been a lot of fun.
All grins at the breakfast table

(I had to bribe Nick with Skittles so he'd hold Harris, and I could snap a picture)

Chris and I always knew that Nick would teach his baby brother all kinds of things, good and bad. We were hoping it would take a little longer though...

Nick's Buffalo Tongue

And Harris's Buffalo Tongue

We've really been trying to make Nick feel like a special BIG boy since Harris's arrival. We took one last trip to Tweetsie on Friday. It's the first time I've been this year where I wasn't pregnant and could ride all the rides with Nick and Chris. I don't recommend the Tilt-A-Whirl two times in a row. Apparently I don't have the stomach for it anymore.

2 Weeks Old / Fun with Grandparents

Daddy went to play golf ALL DAY on Thursday, so Big Mama came over to play and read with me.
Pepaw sang Thomas songs with me.
And when Daddy got home, he played match the puzzle pieces to see how smart I'm getting.
Later in the week, I rode my motorcycle outside.
But the week wasn't just about me. Daddy and Baby Harris had some bonding time.
He bonded with Abby too!

Even I got to hold Harris who turned 2 weeks old this past Wednesday.

Great Aunt Bethy came by to see us on Sunday. I had such a GREAT week!!!
