Wordless Wednesday

Captions to come soon!

Tweetsie with My Firsties

What do you think when you have 90 kindergarten & first graders, 22 parents, and 5 teachers going to Tweetsie for the day?  Whatever four-letter word you thought of is the same one I said - maybe a few others.  I knew the trip would be a blast, it was all the prep work to get there that was challenging.  Plus, guess who forgot the check?  Yep, all that work, and I forgot to get the most important thing.  Oh well, story of my life these days.

So, 90 children went to see LetterLand Tweetsie on May 17.  It was awesome!  The kids (at least mine) were so well behaved and had so much fun.  It was interesting to watch them explore because many of them had never been out of Catawba County before much less to a amusement park.  The kids were so excited to see their favorite LetterLand characters and ride the rides.  Here are some highlights from our day.

My mom went, and she was the best!  Couldn't have done it without her!
 DONE!!!!
Ha ha, luckily, these boys didn't get hit by the flying vomit from the top.

Nine hours and only one puker later, we arrived back at school with a very tired, hot, and smelly teacher.  Can't wait to go back next year!

The Cadwallader's Plus One More

Ha!  Bet you thought I was going to say we were pregnant again.  NOPE!  We're getting a new puppy, and believe it or not it isn't a Dachshund.  I know really.  It's a Schnauzer instead.  My very first dog, Princess, was a Schnauzer, and my retired teaching partner Barbara breeds them.  It started out as an innocent day of swimming at her house with just some puppy loving, but we decided we needed another dog since Chloe will be 13 this year.  Lexi Cadwallader will be joining our family on June 30!!!  Harris is in love with her already and doesn't want anyone else to hold her.  Chris isn't thrilled, but he'll come to love her too (I hope).  I'll keep you posted as we get to visit and watch her grow.  Until then, here's a preview of our new addition.

Lexi's mother had 8 puppies, but one was already spoken for.  We chose the one that was going to stay primarily black, like our Abby, and wouldn't get very big.
 Look at that sweet face!
Harrison is holding on to her and won't let her go.
Aaah, can't wait for the puppy breath to come!

Rub a Dub Dub, 5 Kids in a Hot Tub (and 1 on the sidelines)

It's officially summer at our house!  Chris opened the pool last week, so we had some of our favorite kids (and their parents) over to swim in the hot tub.  Can't wait for it to stop raining now and warm up so the adults can swim too!

What's that I hear???

Bet you thought I was going to say the Tweetsie Railroad train.  NOPE!!!  We decided not to do Tweetsie this year.  After the fun of Disney, Tweetsie just couldn't compare. The only thing close around here is Carowinds. We take our favorite teenage Alyssa with so each kid has an adult.  Usually the little ones hang out in Snoopy's World while Nick rides the roller coasters. It isn't the happiest place on earth like Disney, but the kids sure have been having fun!

The kiddos love the Make Your Own Icee place (who wouldn't!).  That cup is almost as big as Cara.
The kids love Charlie Brown

Nick received his God and Me Scout award a few Sundays ago.  I'm such a proud Mommy!
