Already August?

I don't know where my summer has gone.  It's already mid August.  Nick turns 8 this week, and I have to go back to work for real next week.  YIKES!

 I found this in my classroom one afternoon.  Hmmm, thinking this is way more interesting for first graders than learning to read.  Hope it isn't a permanent fixture.

 Last weekend, Chris took the boys flying at Hky Airport.  Harris is still too young, but Nick got to fly again.

Pirates & Princess with Disney Jr.

Cara watches Sofia the First and the boys watch Jake & the Neverland Pirates on Disney Jr. all the time, so when Carrie called and told us about their live show we immediately bought tickets.

All the children under 5 dressed up as either a princess or pirate.

 Doc McStuffins was the opening act.  Now Cara insists on watching it at home too.  If you've ever watched it, you know how addictive the theme songs are.

 This year Nick went to Camp Tekoa in Hendersonville for an entire week.

 I actually got a hug when we went to pick him up.  No shower for a week equals a very smelly Nicholas.

On the way home from camp, Nick went wall climbing at the Y.
