One of our favorite things to do when we're at the beach, besides going to the ocean, is visiting Fort Fisher Aquarium. The animals are great, and there are lots of hands on things for the kids.
Someone had bedhead!
The kids were fascinated that there was money in the fountain.
Watch out! Alligator!
Luna the Albino Alligator
Loved watching the turtles eat.
Petting Sting Rays
Sea Horse
Harris took this picture. Can you tell?
Love this!
They had this awesome program for the kids called Turtle Hospital where the children learned about some of the dangers turtles face and how the doctors repair them. Did you know that they use sugar to help turtles with broken shells? The sugar hardens and helps protect the turtle until the shell grows back together. That was my new learning for the day!
Look! We found Ocho the Octopus!
Petting sharks
Harris had a foot long hotdog to finish off his busy day!
