Harrison’s Ears

Harrison has had speech problems for the past two years. We have had him tested 3 separate times with the same conclusion – his speech is developmental and some of the issues stem from his thumb sucking. We didn't agree with the results, so my mother in law (bless her) suggested we get his hearing checked. He failed the test at our local doctor's office and was referred to a specialist. The specialist took pictures of both ears and concluded that he has blockage in both ears to due to fluid. So, on March 1, Harrison will be having surgery to have a 2nd set of tubes put in and have his adenoids removed. The doctor feels the removal of the adenoids is essential or he will need to have a 3rd set of tubes sometime in the future. While the idea of surgery is scary, it won't be his first. We are relieved that it is a relatively simple fix and hopefully hasn't caused any permanent hearing loss.

Please keep us in your prayers on Thursday as the doctor operates on Harrison.
