Discovery Kids

On Saturday, we went with the Wade's (Lisa & Lauren) and the Donley's to Discovery Kids in Huntersville.  I wasn't sure what to expect, but what the heck - we'd try it out.  It was a really neat place.  Everything was kid-sized and total learning through play.  The downside - WAY too many people.  The older I get, the less I like crowds.  Plus, it's really hard for two people to watch three children.  Nick was an angel (the best of the bunch).  Little did I know it was because he had the FLU!!!  Oh yes, he was the 2nd of our 3 children to get the flu.  Did I mention that all of them had flu shots?

Here are some of the highlights of our day.

First stop - the Veternarian
Next stop - learning about firefighters (plus there was a HUGE truck)
Harrison has decided he wants to be a fireman when he grows up.  I'm proud - one of his friends wants to be Elmo!
 DORK!
Perhaps a paramedic is a future career choice
 Pole Sliding
Wow Lisa - that's quite the skill you have with the pole!  Anything you'd like to share???
Miss Social Butterfly (Lis, you're in trouble with this one in another 10 years!)
Cara was in heaven when she found the babies.
I'm hoping this is a glimpse into my future and Cara will wash dishes after clearing the table.
 Carrieeeee - where areeee youuuu?
Harris looks terrified.  Luckily Uncle Devo was there to give him a hand.
Notice the husbands and one son are missing.  Oh and Lauren is pouting.
 LOVE this picture!
Just like at Big Dan's house!
